North West Education Conference – Teachers Leading Teachers

A Triumphant Success

On 1st July we hosted our first “Teachers Leading Teachers” conference at the Holiday Inn Hotel, Ellesmere Port. We welcomed a broad and diverse community of educators across all key phases and were especially delighted to welcome education adviser and writer, Mary Myatt as our keynote speaker. The conference was one day of ideas, discussion, inspiration, sharing and celebration that we hope sparked ongoing conversations and relationships.

Delegates took part in a number of sessions including ‘Creating a diverse and inclusive curriculum’, ‘Instructional coaching’, ‘Drama strategies across the key stages’ and ‘Constructing a meaningful Personal Development pathway’. We know that teaching staff often feel that they learn best from each other and can support education moving forward when research and educational theory can be discussed with fellow practitioners considering its application in specific contexts.

The conference was a triumphant success and we hope it has inspired our delegates in moving forward with their learning, training, planning and research. We look forward to hosting the event again next year.
