West Kirby Grammar School is conveniently located, being close to the centre of West Kirby and West Kirby Railway Station, with services available from Liverpool and Chester.
Many of our students travel to school via train, but there are also conveniently located public bus stops, together with the following specially provided school service buses. Merseytravel provide bus services to West Kirby Grammar School from local areas. Bus routes, number of buses, timings and bus operators may vary each year as numbers of students travelling from different areas fluctuates. Travel Support for Pupil Premium Students
We offer financial support with travel to and from school on school operated serives from areas across Wirral, Chester, Ellesmere Port and North Wales. This scheme applies to students who meet the eligibility criteria for Deprivation Pupil Premium and is funded by Pupil Premium funding received from Central Government. Eligibility is assessed each academic year.

A1 Willaston, Neston and Parkgate areas
A number of bus services are provided by West Kirby Grammar School in conjunction with Calday Grange Grammar School. These buses provide transport for those students who live in Wallasey. Chester, Ellesmere Port, Willaston, Neston and Parkgate areas and North Wales.
Please note that the North Wales bus service will terminate at the Asda, Queensferry bus stop from the start of the 2025/26 academic year. The St Asaph and Caerwys services have been withdrawn due to diminishing passenger numbers and the financial unsustainability of this route.

The annual cost for a pass for 2024/25 is:
- Wallasey services (C buses) is £770.00
- Chester / Ellesmere Port / N Wales (W buses) is between £1395.00 and £1495.00 depending on the distance
- Willaston, Neston and Parkgate areas is £860.00
The annual fee is determined at the start of each year based upon the number of students using the services. The cost of the pass is non-refundable. Payment is made via Calday Grange Grammar School via Direct Debit. The payment for these passes may be made in full or by instalments as detailed on their website.
Please note that seats on the bus services are available on a first come first served basis and bus passes will be sent from Calday Grange Grammar School. Replacement passes will be provided at a cost of £5.00 from Calday Shop
