At WKGS Sixth Form you’ll be part of a friendly, close-knit community in which you’ll be challenged and supported in equal measure. Whilst some larger sixth form / further education college environments can be a bit impersonal, at West Kirby you’ll quickly find your voice as an individual and become a valued member of our Sixth Form family.

You’ll be learning and socialising in our purpose-built Sixth Form Centre, complete with modern teaching areas, dedicated media suite, common rooms, kitchen facilities and deli bar. As well as full use of our IT facilities, you can bring your own device and connect to our wi-fi network.
We’ve adopted a ‘business casual’ dress code in line with modern workplace practices, helping you to feel relaxed but still professional.

You’ll enjoy more independence than you had in school, but we also provide the structure and support which are vital in helping you to develop and thrive. As well as your subject teachers, you’ll be guided throughout your time at West Kirby by your highly-experienced Form Tutor with additional one-to-one support from a dedicated Sixth Form Mentor.

As one of the country’s leading Sixth Forms, our A - level results speak for themselves - but we look beyond league tables and academic excellence. Whilst an integral part of the West Kirby Grammar School community, our purpose-built Sixth Form centre and business causal dress code create an important degree of separation, helping you to make a fresh start on the next exciting stage of your journey.
