Year 11 GCSE Geography Fieldwork trip to Cumbria, County Durham

As part of their GCSE Geography course Year 11 Geographers enjoyed their fieldtrip to the Lake District, Cumbria looking at flood prevention techniques in Cockermouth and also woodland ecosystems.  They then moved on to the Pennines into County Durham to follow the course of the River Tees from source to the sea.  Followed by a wonderful set of opportunities to study the coastal landscape of the fast-eroding Holderness coast in Yorkshire, visiting Hornsea and Flamborough Head.
