WKGS shepherdess stars on Steph’s Packed Lunch

Year 8 student Esther appeared on ‘Steph’s Packed Lunch’ on Channel 4 with Steph McGovern on Tuesday 27 April 2021 talking about her passion and responsibility for with her flock of rare breed sheep, Greyface Dartmoors.  She has been raising sheep since she was 6 years old, getting up early to feed and care for them before getting the bus into school.  She also shows holiday cottage guests around the farm introducing them to her sheep as well as going to market buying and selling her sheep.  She was joined in the studio by her Father and also Bea and Lily the lambs of Sage, Esther’s first ‘orphan lamb’ who she hand-reared, feeding her by bottle and she now has her own lambs!

Esther was really excited to meet on the programme her role model, Yorkshire Shepherdess Amanda Owen, author and star of the Channel 5 series ‘Our Yorkshire Farm’.

Esther gave an exceptionally confident, interesting and articulate interview – we are all very proud of our own ‘West Kirby Shepherdess’!

Well done Esther!
