Visit to Normandy

Our annual MFL visit to Normandy resumed again for the first time for a couple of years with lucky students travelling to France by ferry initially visiting the beautiful harbour town of Honfleur for lunch. The base for the stay was the fabulous Château du Baffy, an 18th century Château. Excursions included: a trip to Bayeux to visit the world-famous tapestry and cathedral; a call at Arromanches to see the Mulberry Harbour in the bay of the 1944 British landing beaches and a visit the excellent 360 museum; lunch at the beautiful abbey and island of Mont-St-Michel. Students enjoyed themselves soaking up some French culture and practising their language skills.
