Spanish Exchange 2018
Fifteen Year 11 GCSE Spanish students spent the last week of September with their Spanish exchange partners in Torrelavega in Cantabria in the North of Spain.
It was a wonderful week in which our students improved their spoken Spanish and experienced life with a Spanish family at first hand. Throughout the week students enjoyed a variety of activities. They visited Santander, Santillana del Mar, San Vicente de la Barquera, La Neocueva de Altamira where the students learned what life was like for early man in Cantabria during the Paleolithic era. One of the highlights was a visit to El Parque Natural de Cabárceno and the elephant workshop. It is true to say that after one week we had made friends for life and we are looking forward to returning to Spain next year with some of our Year 10 students.
