All dining services at West Kirby Grammar are provided by our contractors Sodexo.
Season availability, provenance and freshness are everyday words for us. Pupils’ health, wellbeing and satisfaction is at the root of everything we do. We aim to deliver fresh food you can be proud of; food that will make pupils smile.
It is widely recognised that fuelling children with nutritionally balanced school meals helps support their academic growth and success. Providing healthy meals for our pupils and students is a cornerstone of Sodexo’s social value strategy, where we aim to inspire, engage, and nourish young people by encouraging them to adopt healthy behaviours while in school.

Ensuring access to the best food possible is important. However, simply making high quality food available to young people is only part of the role we must play. We must use the dining room as environments to educate about nutrition and healthy eating to encourage better habits, lifelong skills and provide them with the food they want to eat.
We offer traditional food but also like to introduce new tastes and eating experiences that will appeal to all students. We achieve this through regular menu changes and our special days which include foods from around the world.
We have a food development team and nutritionist’s continuously working on new, innovative recipes and menus. Our aim is to develop new dishes to ensure our students are constantly offered an exciting range of tempting, mouth-watering, freshly prepared meals, and snacks.
We encourage students to eat a balanced meal and parents can review what has been purchased through our cashless catering system.
Allergen information is displayed on the dining room and available from the catering team on request.
Students are encouraged to discuss any dietary requirements with staff who can help cater to their individual needs.
