Gemma Jefferies has worked in Education for over 20 years in her primary role as a teacher of English and Film Studies. She has undertaken various roles in management including departmental, curriculum and pastoral. She has also worked in advisory roles within the Local Authority and with examination boards. Gemma believes in a holistic approach to the education of young people. Students achieve when they are resilient, confident, encouraged to take risks, think creatively, are aspirational and have high expectations for themselves and others. Gemma has a keen interest in improving the health and well-being of students and staff. Wider knowledge and experience in the health and fitness industry including qualifications in exercise and nutrition have had an impact upon her ethics and values. She has two children and understands the struggles of balancing family life with work and is always happy to share her knowledge and experience with others.
