A message from the Head Girls
I am Abigail Beech and I am proud to be the current joint Head Girl at West Kirby Grammar School. The last 6 years have flown by and I have enjoyed every minute of it. I would never have thought that I would have become part of the Head Prefect team but West Kirby has helped me grow and develop as an individual.
At West Kirby we believe everything is possible. The school motto is 'Ad Metam Contendo' which means strive towards the goal. Our school prides itself on its academic achievements but also provides endless extracurricular opportunities for students. We offer a wide and varied choice of courses so studying at West Kirby will equip you with the skills you need to prepare you for life beyond school.
Life at West Kirby is always busy, as our teachers have high expectations, and you will be presented with so many amazing opportunities in academics, sports, music, art and languages - whatever your passion or hobby may be. This is all in addition to our house events and activities which we are encouraged to participate in to promote a sense of community and build friendships.
It is up to you but if you are motivated and determined to reach your goals and full potential you can at West Kirby as we are supported by an amazing group of teachers in a vibrant and all-inclusive community.
West Kirby has helped me grow as an individual and I hope to inspire, develop and motivate all the pupils to achieve their maximum potential. I know choosing the right place to study is a very important one so West Kirby stands out because we provide a caring and supportive environment to help you fulfil your academic potential.

Hi my name is Pritika, and I am honoured to be the current joint Head Girl at West Kirby grammar school. Ever since year seven, I have always looked up to the head prefect team and now to be a part of such an extraordinary group alongside other incredible individuals is a privilege. The past 6 years has taught me a lot about myself and allowed me to grow as individual, and thanks to an incredible support system, I am more confident in myself and am proud to be Head Girl.
Here at west Kirby, teachers are dedicated to supporting students, and relationships with staff are built on friendly interactions. The school and the community we have built provides very high quality care in an inclusive learning environment. This establishes a high standard of education across the school, and inspires the best conditions for learning, of which the students are able to benefit from.
Students are also able to take part in a wide range of extracurricular activities that promote individual growth and maturity. Such activities allow students to expand on essential life skills, preparing them for the future. From a friendly and compassionate house system that has a wide variety of events encouraging team work, to enrichment made available to sixth form that ready students for life after school, pupils at west Kirby are able to find their passion outside of their studies.
Our school is ranked amongst the best in the country, built around a respectful, and welcoming environment, which celebrates every student's individuality. With one of the most diverse communities across Wirral grammar schools, this school embraces all cultures, religions and identities, and supports students to become a part of our community and truly belong.
